SOS Children's Villages Ukraine Emergency Response Programme Evaluation
Published
August 2024

Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, SOS Children's Villages Ukraine implemented its 2023 Emergency Response project through a network of Family Strengthening centres and partner NGOs across more than 16 regions. The project delivered services including case management, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), Child-Friendly Spaces, food assistance, shelter, non-food items, and cash and voucher assistance to children affected by the war and their families.

The evaluation applied OECD DAC criteria and Core Humanitarian Standards, drawing on surveys, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and stories of change. It examines the project's relevance, effectiveness, and adaptability, and offers recommendations for strengthening future programming.
