The mid-term evaluation assesses the Nexus Chapeau programme implemented by Malteser International in partnership with local organisations across Ukraine, focusing on integrated MHPSS services, humanitarian assistance, and social cohesion. Using a qualitative, participatory methodology, the study draws on desk review, key informant interviews, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and direct observation to generate evidence-based insights into programme performance. Grounded in ethical and context-sensitive approaches, the evaluation captures the experiences of internally displaced persons, returnees, and host communities, and examines effectiveness, relevance, efficiency, and sustainability. It highlights the programme’s contribution to resilience, local capacity, and nexus-oriented programming in a complex, conflict-affected setting.
