Communities Driving Change is an ongoing multi-country research initiative (2025–2026) led in collaboration with Humanitarian Advisory Group (HAG) and local partners to generate a robust evidence base on the outcomes and community-level impact of survivor- and community-led response (SCLR). Grounded in a localised, participatory, and iterative methodology, the research combines global evidence review, stakeholder engagement, and community-led inquiry across multiple contexts. It focuses on capturing how communities organise collective action, strengthen social cohesion, and drive recovery processes beyond formal humanitarian systems. The study also aims to translate these insights into practical tools and advocacy evidence to influence policy and practice, promoting more equitable, people-centred humanitarian approaches that recognise communities as primary agents of change.
